In 1951, Fernando’s Bakery started operating in
Sta. Barbara, Baliuag, Bulacan through the
hard work of
Pablo and Veronica Fernando
(fondly called as Tata Ambo and Nana Viring ).
They began selling the usual breads and
baked products but their specialty is the pan de liit or
the
mini pandesal Baliuag
which became famous and was sold faster than hotcakes
and remains to be a well-known crowd drawer.
It is still the top choice of balikbayans
for their pasalubong.


The traditional recipe of mini-pandesal was passed down
to their grandchildren namely Pinky, Rose, Liby and Aref
who continued the pandesal legacy.
This is made possible through the guidance
and inspiration of their mother, Mrs. Erlinda Ramos.


They also specialized other products such as
pianono de Baliwag(classic, mango and ube),
inipit, special ensaymada, double chiffon (mocha, chocolate, ube)
pan de coco with langka, cheesebread, mamon tostado,
cheese and chocolate cupcakes, macaroons, etc.


A visit by Israel's Ambassador Joshua Zagi @ the bakery wherein his family had hands on cake decorating lessons has openned doors for Fernandos to be included in the curriculum of several schools in Baliwag namely St. Mary's College, STI College, Immaculate Conception School of Baliwag, CEU Malolos , PWU Baliuag and Open Door Baptist School for their educational tour and bread/ cake baking demonstrations.

Fernandos Bakery also offers made-to-order cakes for all occasions.
This bulacan based bakery was behind Madamme Imelda O. Cojuangco's Towering Birthday Cakes, Mr. Ogie Alcasid's Gigantic Disco Prom
inspired 40th Birthday Cake held @ Manila Polo club, the Masquerade themed cake used in GMA7's teleserye Kamandag for Lili's 18th birthday portrayed by Maxene Magalona ,
the cake used in Marimar's birthday dinner and wedding cake in the confrontational scene
-Angelika and Marimar, the Giant Cake Prop used in BFGF (My Bestfriends Girlfriend Movie including billboards, posters and tv promo in eat bulaga and bubblegang, displayed for a month @ SM Megamall's cinema 9 lobby)

Raul and Cacai Velasquez-Mitra's elegant wedding cake, Jed Madela's Cupcake Tower for ASAP'08 Birthday Celebration, Wilma Doesnt and Alesandra da Rosi's Birthday Cake for The Sweet Life and to date, Gary Valenciano's 44pcs Cake Tower for ASAP'08 Birthday Bash.

It became Bulacan’s pride because it is included in Tatak Bulakenyo of Gov. Josie dela Cruz and Tatak Baliwag of Mayor Romy Estrella.
Fernando’s Bakery was also featured in various television shows like Kumikitang Kabuhayan (ABS-CBN- 2), Mobile Kusina (GMA -7), Dee’s Day (RPN-9), Field Trip (ABC-5), WOW –What’s on Weekend by Dr. Joel Mendez (ABC -5) and Taas-noo Bulakenyo (Dream Channel 1 and NBN- 4)..Swak na Swak (ABS-CBN 2 ). Umagang Kay Ganda ( UKG - ABS-CBN 2 ). The Goodnight Show with JOJO A. ( QTV 11 ).
